We randomly stumbled accross this lovely quaint restaurant on our travel back from Aberdeen to Montrose after a day out. The food, service and interior decoration were all a cut above the rest. We will definitely be recommending to others and would travel back up the coastal roads to eat here again.

Visited the creel inn for Sunday dinner and was delighted with our meal. We have visited in the past and always enjoyed it but this is the first visit since new owners took over and chuffed to say the place has really stepped up a gear in all areas. The visual improvements are fab whilst keeping the cosy feel and atmosphere but it was the food that really pleased my husband and I. I loved the smoked haddock and pea risotto and so pleased that they didn't skimp on the Parmesan, hubby had scallops and black pudding which he adored. We had our young children with us also who had a lovely menu to choose from and glad to see they didn't get the usual processed rubbish which kids so often have to put up with. The portion sizes were perfect for them too, ample but not mountains of food which can put them off. We were full but the pudding menu looked so good we couldn't resist. The white choc cheesecake was to die for! Can't wait to come back and enjoy all over again. Thanks to the friendly staff and compliments to the chef. All the best, the McGowan family x
