Situated in the historic fishing village of Catterline, perched on cliffs overlooking the bay and harbour, The Creel Inn is set among some of North East Scotland's most beautiful coast line, yet only 25 minutes drive from Aberdeen (4 miles from Stonehaven).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We offer "Seafood specialities & much… much… more", in both restaurant and lounge, prepared to the highest standard from the freshest local produce (our lobster and crab are caught in Catterline Bay), complemented by our friendly team and welcoming ambience, designed to guarantee you a dining experience never to be forgotten and savoured time and time again.

Soup of the day

Crab Soup
House speciality made with local partens

Grilled wood pigeon served with stornoway black pudding, crispy leaves and
a beetroot chutney

Smoked haddock and pea risotto topped with parmesan shavings and drizzled
with lemon oil

Fried herb crusted brie served with a cranberry compote and mixed leaves
dressed with a basil oil

Main courses

Roast turkey crown served with sage and onion stuffing, chipolatas, roast
potatoes and gravy

Grilled ribeye steak (8oz uncooked weight) served with sweet potato chips
and a drambuie cream sauce

Duo of grilled rock turbot and seared scallops served with arbroath smokie
potato cake and asparagus and champagne cream sauce

Seared salmon steak marinated in cajun spices topped with king prawns
served with potato fondant and a soya dressing

Wild Mushroom and herb risotto topped with parmesan shavings and truffle oil

       All main courses are accompanied with seasonal vegetables

Desserts

Homemade Christmas pudding served with brandy angalise

Milk chocolate and orange creme brulee served with chantilly cream and
berries
