Situated in the small fishing village of Catterline The Creel Inn is located in a row of fishermen's cottages perched on a cliff edge overlooking Catterline Bay and harbour. Close to the main coastal road south, the village is 4 miles from Stonehaven and only 25 minutes drive from the centre of Aberdeen. map of the bay

Travelling south from Stonehaven on the A92 to Inverbervie you will notice signs for Catterline and The Creel Inn on your left. Follow these for a short way and you will arrive at the picturesque conservation village of Catterline.

Parking, we have some parking spaces directly outside the Inn or on the approach road. However, if these are busy we have an arrangement with Catterline Primary to utilise their car park (less than 100 yds away) during evenings and weekends. Please remember cars can not be left in the school car park overnight.

Now you have arrived why not take a stroll before or after dinner along our spectacular cliff tops or down to the tiny harbour built in 1842. You will soon realise what has inspired generations of artists, be it a beautiful summer's day or during breathtaking winter's storm.

Marine Hotel - Sister site

creel-inn-small.jpgCome and visit our sister establishment - The Marine Hotel, Stonehaven, is a popular harbour bar and restaurant with stunning views of one of Scotlands oldest harbours. Established in 1884 and now under the new ownership of Robert Lindsay. We offer 2 public bars and an upstairs where we offer a dining experience to remember. Seafoods and game dishes are our speciality. The bars offer extensive ranges of malt whisky and real ales. Our recently refurbished restaurant is available to book in advance and it is advisable to book early at weekends.
